Residents in Central Bedfordshire are set to benefit from the Government’s Green Homes Grant Scheme with £3.9m funding available from the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), to provide loft and cavity wall insulation for private homeowners whose properties have poor energy performance ratings.
The Scheme is accessible for households who have a combined annual income of no more than £30,000 and whose homes have an EPC (energy performance certificate) rating of E, F or G.
Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire and Member of the BEIS Select Committee, said:
The government is ensuring households across the North East Bedfordshire enjoy warmer homes that are cheaper to heat and emit fewer emissions – all while creating new work for tradespeople.
