This week (1-7 June) was Volunteers week, an opportunity for individuals to consider whether they may have the time to get involved with a good cause locally and to celebrate the unsung heroes who do so much to help make a difference in their communities.
Recent Charity Commission data highlights that there are 15,036 volunteers working in the constituency of North East Bedfordshire. The work of volunteers is vital in allowing local charities to make a difference in their community, the voluntary sector and society as a whole.
Richard Fuller MP said:
I have visited many outstanding charities in North East Bedfordshire, all of which rely on the dedication of volunteers and I want to thank all those who are giving up their time to support our local charities.
