Richard was recently contacted by a Biggleswade resident who drew his attention to an important road sign on Venus Way in the town that had been rotated and was therefore obscured from motorists.
Richard Fuller MP said:
The rotated sign had caused my constituent to receive a penalty charge and my understanding is that it had caused confusion and similar problems for a number of locals.
Having written to Taylor Wimpey, who remain in control of the road as it is yet to be adopted by the Council, I am pleased to have received a response from their Managing Director. He advised that the signage would be corrected at the earliest opportunity - which it now has been- and that they will periodically check that these signs and others on that road remain appropriate until such time as it is adopted.
Many thanks to the constituent for drawing my attention to this issue.
