
Anglian Water are investing around £1.56 million in the Moggerhanger and Blunham areas to reinforce 5.8 kilometres of the existing sewer network and help stop groundwater infiltration impacting their pumping stations.
As part of the work, they will be using underground cameras to investigate the sewers in the area to establish where the pipes connect into each property. The pipes will then be cleaned with high pressure water jets before reinforcing the sewer using innovative technology which allows Anglian Water to line and seal the existing pipe without needing to dig up the road.
Additionally, there is a need to install several new manhole chambers to support the installation of the sewer liners. These will also improve visibility when future sewer inspections are conducted.
This means they will be working in and around Moggerhanger and that will cause some local disruption as detailed below:

(Please note, the closures will not be in place at the same time, Anglian Water will complete the works on St John’s Road before progressing on to Park Road.)
