Universal Destinations & Experiences has begun a period of public engagement to hear local feedback on their proposal to build a theme park in Bedford.

Richard Fuller MP said:

This week, I spoke again with the Universal team leading the engagement efforts for the proposed Universal Theme Park in Bedfordshire.

They reiterated their strong desire to hear back from as many local residents as possible and I am happy to join them in encouraging you to take part - whether you are supportive or have questions.

The two local meetings will also be good opportunities for local residents to hear directly about their proposals.

This proposal is very significant for Bedfordshire. It will have an impact on our transport links, housing , environment and our town centres.

I support this project being given the green light if financial and environmental conditions can be met. But we should all have our say.

You can take part in their survey by visiting https://universalukproject.co.uk/ which will be open until Friday 3 May 2024.

They are also holding two public events:

  • Saturday 13 April 11am-4pm at Kimberley College, Green Lane, Stewartby, MK43 9LY
  • Tuesday 16 April 4.30-8pm at Bedford College, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AH
