This week, official figures showed that youth unemployment hit an 11 year high of 16.2%.
Richard Fuller MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury said:
These figures are almost entirely as a consequence of Rachel Reeves' disastrous policies.
And yet she still thinks she knows best and worst still, refuses to stand at the despatch box and directly address those whose lives and career prospects she so callously disregards.
This Government is putting ideology before employment opportunities. Their policies have done enormous damage to youth employment and the career chances of young people.
Last month, Richard asked the Treasury minister at Treasury questions in the House of Commons, if the Government had considered any delay on minimum wage equalisation over youth jobless fears . You can watch that here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HdALyMvgiS4
