Richard has welcomed £662,800 to fix 13,256 potholes across Bedford Borough Council and £989,200 to fix 19,784 potholes across Central Bedfordshire Council to improve road standards for drivers, saving them money on repairs.
The government is investing £200 million to fix four million potholes across England. This funding builds on the £2.7 billion of highways maintenance funding, already committed between tax years 2022-25.
This funding will ensure councils can continue to deliver this quality service for drivers across the country.

I am delighted the government is investing £1.65 million across Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire Councils to fix over 30,000 potholes.
This funding will not only improve the quality of people’s journey but will also make our roads safer for everyone who uses them.
