Last month, Richard attended the annual Strawberry Fayre event in Yelden and helped unveil the new playground equipment at the Village Hall.
Richard Fuller MP said:
The Strawberry Fayre was humming with activity across all parts of the village. Hundreds and hundreds of families attended - to enjoy the weather, visit the art exhibit in the church, peruse stalls, enjoy a strawberry tea or just soak up the sunshine with a cool beer.
Congratulations to the many Yelden residents who put in serious hours of preparation to make this annual event such a success.
The Yelden Strawberry Fayre attracts over a thousand visitors who come together each year to enjoy strawberry teas, live jazz, classic cars, bikes, tractors and traditional summer fete activities – all to raise much needed funds for the activities of St Mary’s Church.
The Village Hall Trustees successfully obtained funding to replace the deteriorating playground equipment from the Chelveston Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund Trust and the Government UK Shared Prosperity Fund through Bedford Borough Council with the assistance of local parish councils.
