Richard recently visited the Sir William Peel pub in Sandy along with local CBC Councillor, Rob Pashby.

Many, many years ago I briefly worked in a pub and you can see from the video that once learned, you never forget how to pull the perfect pint!
It was a pleasure to meet landlord Steve and see the impressive improvements that he and manager, Stuart have overseen in recent months which include an outside bar, seating area and stage for events.
This pub was a finalist in my competition to find the best pub in Bedfordshire and since then it's gone from strength to strength, winning a number of accolades including CAMRA's (Campaign for Real Ale) Best Pub in Bedfordshire this year, and was shortlisted as one of their regional finalists.
Pubs have not had the easiest of times in recent years and it's really good to see one of our locals performing so strongly and serving the local community so well.
