Richard Visits Sandy Secondary School to discuss Climate Change

Last Friday, Richard visited Sandy Secondary as part of his visits to schools to discuss Cop26.

Speaking after the visit, Richard said:

I was thoroughly impressed by Sandy Secondary School's COP26 showcase on Friday which included a creative and wonderfully edited video, an inspiring presentation and a powerful dance interpretation on the climate crisis.

The students also shared their pledges to help towards climate change with ideas such as Meat Free Mondays; Walk to School Wednesdays, rewards for litter picking, taking short showers and buying locally and more seasonally.

I also enjoyed my Q&A and discussion with the students and teachers about what government is doing to help us all become greener.

Thank you very much to everyone involved for the tremendous effort and thought that went into putting the visit together.
