Last week, Richard visited Oakley Primary Academy where he met with the school council, spoke to the school assmebly about his role as an MP and met the winnder of his Christmas card competition, Thea Neal to present her with a certificate and the printed card.
Commenting on his visit, Richard Fuller MP said:
It was my great pleasure to visit Oakley Primary Academy and present Thea Neal with her certificate for winning my Christmas card competition as well as some printed cards and envelopes for her to send to her friends. The previous week I was able to present the winning entry to the Prime Minister and not surprisingly he was very impressed with Thea's fabulous creation.
I also spent some time with the very impressive school council and heard about some of the democratic changes that they have influenced in the school since the formation of the council.
I was fortunate to be able to address an assembly of the entire school and was very taken with the attentiveness, patience and participation of all age groups.
Clearly the school is thriving under Headteacher, Mr Brown, and I am grateful to him and all the staff for making my visit so enjoyable.
