What a lovely visit to Love Hounds Dog Grooming and such an enjoyable conversation with Michelle as she snipped, combed and washed a pooch to perfection.
I love dogs but that wasn’t the purpose of my visit. Michelle is one of so many people in North Bedfordshire who leave formal employment to take the challenge of setting up on their own.
Self-employment can be such a rush of excitement, anxiety, stress and success. I want our country to recognise, even more than we do now, the contribution self-employment brings to our economy but also to the fabric of our local towns and communities.
Michelle has built a successful business in Great Denham but also has been heavily involved in supporting local and international charitable and humanitarian campaigns. More power to her!
