Richard at Jobs22 in Biggleswade

Richard recently visited Jobs 22 in Biggleswade to hear about the work they do locally to help people back into work. Jobs 22 deliver the government's Restart Scheme, which gives enhanced support to  Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 9 months to find jobs in their local area.

Richard Fuller MP said:

Jobs 22 do so much more than simply match jobseekers to available roles and offer a far more holistic approach to ensure that the people they help have the best possible chance of securing meaningful and suitable jobs. In the past two years this approach has helped over 200 local people get back into work or find jobs for the first time.

They work closely with many employers both locally and nationally, are able to provide funding to individuals or organisations who's work dovetails with theirs and run Jobs Fairs to bring all relevant parties together, with the next one being on November 2nd.

Many thanks to Yolanda, Emma, Jay and Stan for the excellent work they do and also for taking the time to share their experiences with me.

The Restart Scheme is part of the government's Plan for Jobs. Jobs 22 is an employment services provider that was chosen to run Restart Scheme across East Central England and is helping over 22,000 individuals from varying ages and with varying needs find meaningful and enjoyable work in their local communities. As a Restart Scheme provider, Jobs 22 has been supporting individuals in Biggleswade and the wider area return to work by providing access to wraparound services, working closely with employment coaches as well as health and education specialists as they search for a role that suits them in the local community.

Their holistic approach means that jobseekers not only receive guidance on employment matters, but the team also helps them to address health and skills challenges that may have prevented them from finding or retaining work in the past. Jobs 22 has supported individuals with 2,000 health interventions, helping to tackle challenges ranging from mental health to physical disabilities. To access the Restart Scheme, claimants must be referred by their Jobcentre Plus Work Coach.
