Last month, Richard visited Box End Park and had a tour of the site and its facilities. Speaking afterwards, he said:

Box End Water Sports & Aqua Park is a wonderful asset for our community offering pleasant surroundings, a water park for all ages and an excellent location for a coffee or meal.

It’s a family business and I was delighted to join James Barbour and his father, also called James, to discuss their future plans and also to hear of the impact that river flooding can have. They regulalry test their water and the latest water test certificate is always available to view in Reception.

I didn’t know, but the water for the park comes from a bore hole of fresh water and not from the river itself. Nevertheless, father and son share a passion for improving the quality of our rivers and environment and I have put them in touch with the North Bedfordshire Water Management Alliance initiative.
