In November, the UK will host the crucial UN climate change conference COP26 in Glasgow, bringing together over 190 world leaders to agree urgent action to tackle climate change.
In the lead up to COP26, the government will be working with 26 OneStepGreener Ambassadors; the extraordinary, everyday, people who are going above and beyond for the climate. The OneStepGreener Ambassadors symbolise the very best in UK climate leadership and will inspire the public to follow in their footsteps ahead of COP26.
Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire and Member of the BEIS Select Committee which has been overseeing COP26 arrangements, said:
Action against climate change has moved from the margins to the mainstream – in governments, business and among the public.
Our OneStepGreener Ambassadors will become the voice of the UK public on climate change and will work closely with the government in the lead up to COP26. So if you or someone you know in North East Bedfordshire has what it takes to be a OneStepGreener Ambassador, please apply.
