I appreciate that different MPs take an alternative approach, particularly in light of the high profile and tragic murders of Jo Cox, David Amess and now, Ann Widdecombe. Whilst I make no judgement on how others fulfill their duties, for me this is an essential part of my role as an MP and I will continue to hold regular drop-in, appointment and online/telephone surgeries, as well as frequent 'town hall' meetings around the constituency.
