In the early hours of Friday 5 July 2024, Richard was returned as the Member of Parliament for North Bedfordshire at the General Election.
Speaking after the result was declared, Richard Fuller MP said:
My sincere thanks to the voters of North Bedfordshire for once more electing me to be your Member of Parliament.
I stood on my record as a dedicated constituency MP and promised to be your strong, local voice in Westminster. That work starts on Monday, and whether you voted for me or not, I pledge to defend the best interests of all constituents and represent you with honesty, integrity and tenacity.
Richard added:
It is an honour and great privilege to represent North Bedfordshire and I will continue to be your strong voice in Parliament on the many issues facing our area including; East West Rail, A428 Black Cat development, the 2,000 acre solar farm, excessive house building, potential increased pressure on secondary schools and flooding, sewage and overall water quality.
At the same time, I wish Sir Keir Starmer and his government well in tackling the issues affecting the country.
