Last week Richard wrote to the new Chief Executive of East West Rail, David Hughes, to raise his concerns about their proposed ground investigations around Ravensden.

Richard Fuller MP said:

These ground investigations would involve drilling boreholes in an area that we now know, due to the tragic explosion at Cleat Hill, contains a natural gas reservoir at a relatively shallow depth and of an, as yet, undetermined size.

I believe it would be both irresponsible and inappropriate to conduct such drilling at this time and have asked for reassurances that this will not take place until such time that it is deemed 100% to do so, if at all.
