Richard Opening Sandy Post Office

Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire, “cut the ribbon” last week to officially open new-look Sandy Post Office with new Postmaster Dhaval Gosaliya and his wife Suhani Shah.

Dhaval and Suhani are an experienced Postmaster couple having run Barton Seagrave Post Office in Northamptonshire for the past six years. They took on Sandy Post Office in early March and immediately started to make improvements. Suhani’s brother, Mitul Shah, is managing the branch, to allow Dhaval and Suhani to focus on Sandy Post Office

Richard said:

This modernised branch looks great and I want to congratulate Dhaval and Suhani for taking on their second Post Office.

Sandy Post Office is a busy Main branch. Dhaval and Suhani are very experienced and clearly care about the community that they serve.

Sandy Post Office has undergone a refit to modernise the branch at Market Square under the Post Office Network Transformation programme. The Postmaster also took the opportunity to refit the retail side of the store. There are new Post Office counters and Post Office signage. There are new card racks, which make much better use of the retail and a brand-new selection of greetings cards now offered. There is also gifts, stationery and packaging on sale. It has been redecorated and there are slatted walls and new lighting for a modern look.

The new opening times are Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm and Saturday: 9am – 12.30pm.

Dhaval has also started a Facebook site for his shop to engage with the community. To follow Sandy Post Office on Facebook, please visit this page.
