Richard recently met with the residents of North Gate Court in Biggleswade to discuss the upkeep of the River Ivel.

Speaking afterwards, Richard Fuller MP said:

My latest foray into identifying ways to improve our waterways took me to Biggleswade and to the residents of North Gate Court.

The River Ivel passes alongside North Gate Court and I had been alerted to some concerns about its upkeep.

At a packed meeting, resident after resident explained the importance of the River and their observations - taken over a number of years - of when the upkeep of the River was in a good state and when the river, as now, is in need of more attention.

The residents of North Gate Court speak of a care for the Ivel as strong as any custodians. I will seek further consideration and remedial action from the agencies involved in the Water Management Partnership.
