Richard Fuller and Minister O'Brien

Richard recently met with Neil O'Brien, Minister for Primary Care and Public Health to discuss the provision of primary care in his constituency and particularly the issue of Biggleswade Health Hub.

Richard Fuller MP said:

I focussed on 2 specific areas with the Minister where I believe the Department can help:

  1. Ensure that any lease arrangements that the NHS have to make are written in a way that is supportive of the Health Hub.
  2. Ensure that the financial capital required for the development is not obstructed by "artificial accounting rules".

With this help from the Department I think there's a real chance for the Health Hub to proceed.

It's also to recognise the leadership provided by Central Bedfordshire Council and Council leader Richard Wenham in supporting this initiative.
