Earlier this month, Richard met with The Harpur Trust, which has provided charitable support in the form of educational opportunities and community support for centuries.

Richard Fuller MP said:

We are fortunate to have such a strong charity committed to improving Bedford Borough and it was a great pleasure to meet with the Chair and the CEO of the Harpur Trust recently.

We shared the same perspective that our part of the world is going through a period of exceptional change: rapid local population growth; the rise of Cambridge as an economic as well as academic centre of excellence; the potential for a large scale new town and a world class theme park destination. And there are national changes too, most directly with the cascade of pressures on Harpur Trust schools from this new government.

I left the meeting with great confidence that the trustees will manage through these changes and be able to continue their good work for all communities across the Borough.
