This week, Richard visited Bartlemas Farm in Pavenham to catch up with farmers and the new local NFU County Adviser.
Speaking after the visit, Richard Fuller MP said:
I was pleased to spend a very useful and informative time with local farmers and the NFU in Pavenham on Thursday. The British public are rightly proud of the quality of food produced by our farming community and it was clear from our conversation that animal welfare and countryside stewardship are equally important to our local farmers.
Farming is a challenging and unpredictable business with soaring input costs and the ever-present vagaries of the British weather. I was very reassured by the commitment and passion displayed by all those present.
Many thanks to Flora Archer of the NFU for organising and to the Beazleys for their excellent hospitality.
