Richard Fuller MP with Bedford Borough Youth Council at Borough Hall

Earlier this month, Richard met with the Bedford Borough Youth Council to discuss his role as a Member of Parliament and their roles as representatives of the young people in the Borough.

Richard Fuller MP said:

Will, Martina, Lily, and Tana who is Bedford Borough’s Member of the Youth Parliament, are excellent representatives of their community and had some wonderfully searching questions for me in my role as a Member of Parliament – although I was somewhat alarmed that many of the years of my life are now considered to be part of the history curriculum including my own foray into youth politics!

The Bedford Borough Youth Council run a number of campaigns on behalf of the young people of the Borough. We had a great time discussing crime in our community, flooding in rural villages, and transport links for young people.

I have agreed to return regularly for more sessions with the Youth Council and look forward to our next encounter.
