Earlier this month, Richard hosted a meeting in Great Barford for North Bedfordshire residents with Historic England and both Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough planning departments to discuss retrofitting of listed buildings to improve energy and heating efficiency.
Richard Fuller MP said:
We had an outstanding turnout for the meeting about the challenges involved in modernising homes in a way that reduces bills and increases comfort, whilst meeting the rules required for listed buildings.
The conversation covered a wide range of issues as well as opportunities and I'm very grateful for Sarah from Historic England, Jack from Bedford Borough Council and Siobhan and Monika from Central Bedfordshire Council for attending and adding their extensive knowledge and experience to the discussion.
It was clear from the turnout and level of engagement that there is significant interest in this topic and I look forward to convening more meetings in the future.
