Earlier this month, Richard hosted the final of Police and Crime Commissioner, Festus Akinbusoye's Bedfordshire schools’ Debating Competition in the Grand Committee Room in Parliament.

It was a pleasure to welcome the finalists and their family and teacher to the the Schools Debating Final in Parliament.
I was also delighted that North East Bedfordshire School, Etonbury Academy in Arlesey, were crowned the winners. Many congratulations to them and the joint runners up, Bedford Academy and Icknield High School, Luton.
The standard of debate was very high with arguments presented confidently and articulately. All the finalists should be very proud of their achievements.
