Last weekend, Richard Fuller MP held drop-in surgeries in Colmworth, Thurleigh and Roxton. For the full list of Richard's upcoming surgeries, please visit this page. Surgeries are an opportunity for constituents to meet with Richard and bring their problems or concerns to his attention.
Speaking after the three events, Richard said:
Many thanks to all the residents and Parish Councillors who braved the gales to come and see me in Colmworth on Friday. Not surprisingly the Dennybrook development and East West Rail were hot topics for discussion, but a number of other local issues were raised including broadband reach, rural crime and speeding.
Not surprisingly Friday afternoon's weather affected turnout at my drop-in surgery in Thurleigh. Nevertheless, I was delighted to be joined by Chair of the Parish Council, Michael Thompson and local Borough Councillor, Martin Towler. Many thanks to both for sharing their insights on the issues facing the village and also to the few intrepid local residents who dodged the falling branches to come and see me.
On Saturday morning I was in Roxton for a drop-in surgery. I was delighted to be able to spend time with Parish Council Chair Justin Griffiths who provided a thorough overview of the important issues currently impacting the village including the latest plans for the proposed new housing development. Thanks to Justin and also to the many residents who came along to meet with me and raise their concerns and provide feedback.
