Last week Richard took part in a Westminster Hall debate called by neighbouring MP for Mid Bedfordshire, Blake Stephenson, on Planning and Development in Bedfordshire. Blake called on the Government to prevent further bad development across the county which does not have sufficient infrastructure to support its communities.
Richard Fuller MP said:
In my intervention, I highlighted to the Housing Minister, Matthew Pennycook, that Bedfordshire has had significant housing growth over the past decade and yet services have not kept pace with this growth.
With large numbers of additional housing anticipated around Tempsford, and potentially as a by-product of East West Rail, it is essential that the backlog is dealt with before tackling the required public service provision for new housing.
