Recently, Richard attended a reception in Parliament to hear how the Cambridge Children’s Hospital and Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will transform patient care for generations to come through precision cancer medicine, radically changing the approach to patient care and treating mental and physical health together.
After attending the reception, Richard Fuller MP said:
I heard inspiring presentations at Parliament by patients and staff involved with the exciting plans for a world class cancer hospital and children’s hospital at the Addenbrookes campus at Cambridge.
Both hospitals would give Bedfordshire residents access to the highest quality of care for patients facing the most complex difficulties.
Earlier this year, Richard was part of a group of MPs from across the East of England to sign a letter pledging their support for two new specialist regional facilities - the Children’s Hospital and Cancer Research Hospital - due to be built on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus for inclusion in the Outline Business Case for the new Cambridge Children’s Hospital.
More information on the letter which sets out why the hospitals are urgently needed in the region can be read here.
