Last Saturday, Richard attended the annual Harrold Pit Run - a highlight in the North Bedfordshire calendar. The Pit Run has been running since 1983 with only two missed because of Covid and a shortened course in 1998 due to severe flooding. The event encompasses four races, from a short kids race up to a fully marshalled 3 mile race around the village of Harrold and around the lakes in the country park, the old gravel pits. It is a great social event that includes stalls, bar and a band on The Green which attracts both villagers and visitors.

I had another great afternoon out at Harrold Pit Run on Saturday with local Borough Councillor, Alison Foster
It was good to see everyone having a lot of fun. It was also great to catch up with Ian and the gang from the Harrold Calvados Society and I look forward to opening my purchase.
