During the most recent Treasury Oral Questions in the House of Commons, Richard Fuller MP called Chancellor Rachel Reeves' recollection of her record as 'fantasy economics from a fantasy economist' who is unable to cut spending on welfare in order to fund defence.

On Tuesday, Kemi Badenoch also set out the Conservatives' plans for fund defence. This can be watched at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHCi3wXU4Lw
In her speech, Kemi Badenoch argued that every party in Westminster should be focused on Britain’s national security and funding defence.
Richard Fuller MP said:
This week, Labour sent an outgoing Prime Minister, now completely powerless, to the NATO summit with a Defence Investment Plan he knows is not fit for purpose. Keir Starmer has left a £5 billion black hole for his successor, and there is no reason to believe Andy Burnham will make the hard choices needed to fund defence. Reform are no better. They do not have a defence spokesperson and are distracted by constant scandal.
The Conservatives have a clear plan to rebuild Britain’s defences, and a leader with the backbone to take the tough decisions, including cutting welfare to fund defence and keep Britain safe.
