Thursday was World Book Day - a day to promote reading for pleasure and a chance to offer every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.
Richard Fuller MP said:
Alongside many other Parliamentarians, I was very happy to show my support for World Book Day. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success, more than family circumstances, parents’ educational background or income.
World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading and the World Book Day charity believes that everyone is a reader and aims to see more children and young people develop a life-long love of reading for pleasure that will improve their life chances.
