Recently in Parliament and to recognise World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day, Richard attended the launch of the exhibition 'From London to Kigali and beyond: The UK’s role in achieving the WHO 2030 Roadmap for neglected tropical Diseases’.

The exhibition at the Houses of Parliament featured images and videos across the diseases, illustrating how they affect people and communities. It also showcased some of the successful, UK-funded projects, programmes and research that are tackling these diseases of poverty and injustice.

Richard Fuller MP said:

A constituent encouraged me to attend an exhibition in Parliament to focus attention on tropical diseases and, more precisely Neglected Tropical Diseases. I am grateful as I learned quite a bit viewing the various exhibits and listening to campaigners and health advocates.

As I learned about scabies, I was encouraged to wear a fabric sleeve that imitates the constant itching feel that scabies causes, not only overseas but also here in the U.K.

Twenty diseases including dengue fever and leprosy are included in the group of Neglected Tropical Diseases affecting over a billion people worldwide.
