Last week, Richard attend the Bedfordshire Agricultural Educational Foundation's (BAEF) inaugural Schools Day at Old Warden Park.
Richard Fuller MP recorded this video and said:
It was a pleasure to see so many young people having the opportunity to experience agriculture first-hand.
Giving school children across Bedfordshire the chance to meet those involved in food production and learn how food gets from the field to their plate is incredibly valuable. It helps build an understanding of the hard work, care and innovation that goes into producing the food we all need.
Thank you to everyone who organised such a well-run event and to the farmers, volunteers and exhibitors who took the time to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation. Their commitment to helping young people learn about farming and the countryside is greatly appreciated.
I hope this is the first of many Schools Days to come.
