Earlier this week, Richard urged the Chancellor during Treasury questions in the House of Commons to address the myriad of flaws in the Bedford to Cambridge section of the East West Rail (EWR) project in this week's Autumn Statement.
Speaking after his question, Richard
I highlighted that this section was rated 'unachievable' by the Infrastructure and Projects Authority, that the current Business, and previously the Transport Secretary, had deemed it a waste of taxpayers' money, and that growth along the so-called Ox Cam Arc was not dependent on a railway line.
Many constituents will be disappointed with the Minister's response.
