Last week, Richard met with Schools Minister Nick Gibb and North East Bedfordshire constituent Maddie Roberts. The meeting was also attended by Tom Pursglove MP and his constituent Susan Liverman and was arranged to discuss developing the School Attendance Guidance to ensure it best meets the needs of families with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
After the meeting at the Department for Education, Richard Fuller MP said,
Maddie and Susan delivered their Petition to 10 Downing Street in April this year which had over 270,000 signatures.
The meeting with the Minister was the next stage on Maddie’s campaign to bring about improvements and although there is further work to be done, positive progress continues to be made
