Earlier this week Richard Fuller MP appeared on the Andy Collins Show on BBC 3 Counties Radio with several other contributors to discuss the East West Rail project. Speaking after the interview, Richard said:
As I have repeatedly stated, the entire consultation process has been a mess with a seemingly secret plan by the Borough Council leadership to support a northern route without telling the local councillors, costings for the chosen route changing significantly during the consultation and communication to affected residents being seriously flawed.
As a result, the project lacks the community support that is so essential to major infrastructure developments of this nature.
