On Sunday 30th August, Great Northern and Thameslink services on the East Coast Main Line will be affected by engineering work in connection with the ongoing East Coast Digital Programme.
There will be no Thameslink or Great Northern trains between Potters Bar, Peterborough / Royston, or between Hertford North and Stevenage on Sunday 30 August.
In addition, evening services from approximately 20:00 on Saturday 29 August and early morning services on Monday 31 August (Bank Holiday), until approximately 09:00, will also be affected.
The work taking place involves final testing to allow the industry to begin a gradual introduction of digital in-cab signalling on the main line.
Train services will run between King’s Cross or Moorgate and Potters Bar or Hertford North and between Royston and Cambridge / King’s Lynn.
Replacement buses will run in closed sections, with some of the bus routes designed to link up with alternative rail routes on the Midland Main Line for train connections to and from central London.
