This week, Richard caught up with Festus Akinbusoye, the Conservative candidate for Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner after a visit to Bedfordshire by the Home Secretary, Priti Patel.

Speaking from North Bedfordshire, Richard said:

These important Police and Crime Commissioner elections are just around the corner on Thursday May 6th, and I fully endorse Festus as the best candidate to fight for increased funding for Bedfordshire Police; to introduce local policing hubs; to tackle the scourge of County Lines drugs gangs and further develop the focus on rural crime.

It's really important that people go out to vote for Festus, by post or on the day, to safeguard funding for rural policing in Bedfordshire.

A video of Richard's conversation with Festus, can be watched here.
