Last week, Richard appeared on BBC Breakfast to discuss the local election results.
He was also challenged about the Conservative Party not having formulated a suite of policies to put to the electorate.
Richard Fuller MP said:
I reminded the interviewer that it is less that a year since the voters, understandably, rejected my party at the last election and it is only 6 months since Kemi Badenoch was elected as leader.
It would have been easy to create a raft of slogans that identify voters' concerns and promise to fix them, but robust and effective policies that properly address the issues facing the country take time and deep consideration to devise.
Reform have been very successful in capitalising on an unpoular government and a Conservative Party that is still working to regain trust. For our part, that trust will only be restored when we can show that we fully understand the issues and have plans developed that will stand up to the intense scrutiny of a general election campaign.
