GTR have contacted Richard regarding engineering works affecting Great Northern and Thameslink services over the festive period.
On Sunday 24th December, planned upgrades to the East Coast Main Line as part of the East Coast Digital Programme will affect journeys between London and Peterborough, Ely and King’s Lynn. Please also note that:
Services on all routes will finish earlier on Christmas Eve. All services will finish by 21:00, but on some routes it may be considerably earlier.
As normal, there will be no Great Northern or Thameslink services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th December
An amended and reduced service will run between Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th December. Please check National Rail Enquiries' Great Northern pages and Thameslink webpages for further information about services during the festive period.
