help to grow

The Government has launched Help to Grow: Digital, a UK-wide government scheme to give small and medium sized businesses access to cutting edge technology to supercharge their business growth and help drive our recovery from coronavirus.

Help to Grow: Digital, which can be accessed here,  offers free and impartial advice and gives eligible businesses the chance to apply for a voucher providing up to 50% off the costs of approved software, worth up to £5000.

The launch comes after the Chancellor announced last year two Help to Grow programmes – Help to Grow: Management and Help to Grow: Digital - to boost productivity and drive growth among the UK’s small and medium sized businesses. A total of £520m has been put into the two programmes, making Help to Grow one of the biggest ever business support schemes of its kind in the UK.

Help to Grow: Management, which can be accessed here, has been running since July, providing business leaders with 90% subsidised management and leadership training, to help them learn new skills and boost profits. Delivered by the UK’s leading business schools, participants receive access to 1:1 mentoring and support from business experts to help them develop a Growth Action Plan that is uniquely tailored to help them grow. Help to Grow: Management aims to support 30,000 business leaders.

Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire and member of the Business Select Committee, said:

I hope that businesses across North East Bedfordshire will explore the free, impartial online support on how digital technology can boost their performance and growth through a new platform.

With many businesses needing to adapt the way they do business during the pandemic, the support the Government is offering through Help to Grow: Digital will help them to improve their productivity and take the next step to grow.

Eligible businesses can claim a financial discount covering up to 50% of the costs of approved digital technology up to a maximum of £5,000.
