Central Bedfordshire has awarded twelve organisations grant funding totalling £150,000 from the government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF).
Eligible projects were required to be based in, or directly benefitting, Central Bedfordshire residents and provide 20% match funding. All projects must be completed by 31 December 2025.
The UKSPF scheme supports the commitment to invest in the wellbeing and development of local communities. With a focus on innovation, and sustainability, this scheme provides financial support to projects that address community needs and create lasting impact.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) was a central pillar of the previous government’s Levelling Up agenda and provided £2.6 billion of funding for local investment to replace the European Structural and Investment Programme (ESIF).
