UK Parliament's Teacher Training Team are celebrating 20 years of their Teacher Ambassador Programme and are excited to welcome applications from teachers at schools and colleges across North Bedfordshire!
The programme is open to headteachers, teachers and educators at all stages of their career, teaching any subject.
The successful 65 applicants will have their travel, accommodation, and meal costs covered. The course aims to build confidence in teaching about UK Parliament so they can then cascade what they’ve learned to their schools and communities following the programme.
Throughout the three days, teachers will:
- explore the Palace of Westminster
- participate in Q&A sessions with the Speaker, Lord Speaker and Members of both Houses
- hear from colleagues working in key roles across the House
- collaborate with each other to explore ways of teaching about UK Parliament.
