Black Cat Update

At the end of January, Richard returned to the Black Cat works to see how the works are progressing.

Richard Fuller MP said:

It was time for me to get an update on progress at Black Cat roundabout and, as I hope you can see from the video, the work continues at pace. 

But there is still a lot to be done if National Highways and Skanska are to complete the project on time and on budget, so I will be back later this year for another check.

And before that I want to make sure that when this enormous construction project is finished, @nationalhways  and Skanska leave as “good neighbours” to the residents living on the Great North Road itself and in surrounding villages.

It’s important that issues such as potholes and road damage, trees felled and aspects left bare, or flood drainage etc. are discussed and resolved with residents before we can say “Mission Accomplished”.

Mayor Tom Wootton agrees and will make sure Bedford Borough Council is there to do its bit too.
